Inside Scoop on Finding Fabulous Deals

It’s that time of year when many of us are gearing up for the holiday shopping season, making our lists, checking them twice, and (hopefully) spending wisely.  As you know, I am always on the lookout for a fabulous deal, but when I find them, I don’t always have time to post them on the blog.  In fact, many of them are time sensitive or a deal for THAT day only.  But I always share them immediately in my Google Reader because all I have to do is click a button.  So if you want to keep up with the fabulous deals I find during this holiday shopping season, use Google Reader to subscribe to my blog, then sit back while I send the deals to you. Another advantage of subscribing to my blog via Google Reader is the interesting articles I share throughout the week.  For example, here are several that my subscribers have already seen:

With Google Reader, you can also share your fabulous finds with those who are subscribed to your blog.  Happy shopping and happy reading!

P.S. If you have subscribed via Google Reader but can not see my shared items, send me an email and I will fix it right away.

The Best $25 I’ve Spent in a Long Time

I found a cleaning lady who will clean my entire apartment, first time trial, for $25.  If I like her services, all subsequent visits will only be $60.  This includes cleaning EVERYTHING - both bedrooms and bathrooms, family/dining room combo, AND the kitchen.  Dishes, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, AND dusting.  She and her crew are here right now and cleaning away.

Wooo Weeeee!!

I can’t understand a dang thing she’s saying, so I asked her to point. LOL!  Then I asked her to write down the price just to be sure - and it worked.  We communicate very well!  LOL  And the best thing about her, from what I can tell so far, ALL of her products are earth friendly!  Wow, just wow!  The best $25 I’ve spent in a long time!

Free Disney Tickets on Your Birthday

In 2009, Disney is giving away free admission tickets for your birthday.

From the website:

Start your birthday off right with the most magical birthday present of all: free admission on your birthday during 2009 to one of the Theme Parks of Walt Disney World® or Disneyland® Resort*! It’s our gift to you and it all begins right here.

To get this wonderful birthday gift for yourself, your children or others in your household, follow these simple steps:

  • Register your birthday—and other household members’ birthdays too, if you want.
  • Print the confirmation message you receive after registering your birthday.
  • You will also receive an email reminder two weeks prior to your birthday, which you can also use to redeem your free admission on your birthday.
  • Bring proper ID and your confirmation message to the gate at one of the Theme Parks at the Walt Disney World® Resort or Disneyland® Resort on your birthday in 2009.
  • If you are a Passholder or already have a Multi-Day ticket you will use on your birthday, go ahead and register and bring the free admission on Your Birthday confirmation and proper ID to the designated Will Call windows so you can choose from one of our other exciting birthday gifts instead. (see FAQs for details).

Even if you already have park passes, you can take your free admission birthday ticket and redeem it for something else.  That’s pretty cool!  I guess the most magical place on earth is trying to maintain its appeal during our economic financial crisis.  Hey, you can’t go wrong when it’s FREE!  Redeem your free ticket here.
