My Birthday SEASON
Today marks the beginning of my birthday season – a time when I celebrate being ME for an entire month. I’m so special that one day just won’t do. LOL During my birthday season, I plan to buy myself something new every week and party every weekend. Yea baby!
The first item on my wish list is a B. Makowsky handbag. The buttery-soft pebbled leather, satin interior lining, and gold hardware make it oh so dreamy! Check it out. I’ll have to think really hard about my other birthday gifts to ME. I’m on the prowl for a tropical holiday vacation deal, but I don’t know if I can pull that off at the last minute.
My first party is this Saturday. I’m having a tree trimming party with an assortment of desserts and light hors d’oeuvres (read: get other people to decorate your tree and buy you ornaments). Next weekend, I’m having a game night party with a gift exchange (read: extra birthday presents for ME!). Then, I plan to crash a few holiday parties and handle grownfolkbidness. *wink*
At each event, I will rock a birthday tiara, a flashing birthday girl button, or my T-shirt that says “Kiss Me, It’s My Birthday!” Read: T-R-O-U-B-L-E. LOL

I have a B. Makowsky that I got from Marshalls for $100 (it was listed at $150 at Marshalls but I had a $50 gift card). I think the retail price was $250-$300. I really love the feel of real leather – I don’t think I can go back to PVC bags now. Can you say lifestyle inflation? Oops. You can look at Marshalls or TJ Maxx, I’ve seen a lot of BM bags for $100+ off MSRP. If you have your heart set on that particular bag, though, I’d say you should just get it instead of taking the chance of not finding it anywhere else.

OMG! It is my birthday month as well. On the 12th I will be having my trim the tree it’s my birthday party! This is the second (now annual) party. All my life my mother never started anything to do with Christmas until after my birthday (9th) so a couple of years ago the tree was up before my birthday day. Well to see a forty something year old have a fit is quite funny! So I had to figure out how to make this about me in December so I decided on my Birthday starting the Christmas season by decorating the tree. We had Christmas music and we decorated the tree.. This year will be better planned and I will have hors d’oeuvres and we will play games as well! I can’t wait… I think I might be doing Disneyland on my actual birthday with my BABYGIRL(she’s 25 and married LOL).
