Scatter Brain

Sporadic internet access at home.  I’m divorcing Verizon for good.

My tenants are moving out next month.  I want to sell that house.

I spent a 4 day weekend at Myrtle Beach with my family and we had so much fun.

I think my bible thumping aunt is sick of us though.

One of my other aunts – she’s very blunt and very direct – asked my bible thumping aunt if Jesus ever makes her tired. *dead*

We were getting dressed one morning and I noticed my bible thumping aunt was putting on some Apple Bottom jeans. She’s always telling us that we’re doing something ungodly or too worldly, so I asked her if she knew what those jeans represented. She said “yea, the A and the B on MY jeans stand for ALL about the BIBLE!” *snort* If I were a cat, I think I would have died twice.

I blame my family for my lack of blogging and minimal internet activity this week. It has taken me this long to recover from last weekend. I’m getting too old to be hanging out all night for 3 nights in a row.

Before anyone asks, yes, I blew my $500 fun budget…by A LOT. *smh*

The 2nd interview was rescheduled to an earlier date. This ticked me off, but it went well anyway.

They called two of my clients for a reference, good sign, but…

They also called my boss. Can you say ish hit the fan? *sigh*

I really need to leave now.

I hope pray that I get this job. Lord, please let me get this job if it is part of your divine will, please bless me with this job.

BabyGirl’s senior portraits are beautiful. I love ‘em all. Ok, not really, only 22 out of 25 shots.

BabyGirl got her learner’s permit today. In 9 months, she can get her driver’s license.

Why has she been sending me pictures of a bright yellow convertible VW Beetle?

Tomorrow, I’m going to VA’s #1 voted vineyard, so excited!  I’m determined to find a red wine that I love!

Until next time…Single Ma Out!

Er, is it common for them to contact your current boss without asking you if they can do so first? Eeep.

I told them they could contact my current boss, only if it were the last step and only if they were prepared to make a serious offer. We discussed the potential risk because no one likes to lose a valuable employee. However, I didn’t expect my boss to do or say some of the things he did. I thought he was more professional than that – especially because I’ve done nothing but good things for him and this job is a huge promotion for me. But I guess, in the heat of the moment, emotions over rule professionalism. Oh well, I’ve made many mistakes in my career and this is just another lesson learned for me.

Your tweets about your Aunt had me rolling!

I’m praying with you about the job – despite what your current boss said, if it’s for you nothing can stop you.

I want to sell my rental property too – I no longer get the tax benefits for the losses I realize.
