New FTC Website Helps Consumers Cope with Tough Economic Times
The Federal Trade Commission created a website titled Money Matters to help people dealing with debt, struggling to find a job, or looking to learn more about creating a budget, saving, and spending wisely in tough economic times. It offers short, practical tips and links to reliable resources for more information on topics like credit repair, debt collection, job-hunting and job scams, vehicle repossession, managing mortgage payments, foreclosure rescue scams, and helpful information to learn how to recognize and avoid consumer scams and rip-offs.

This blog is a personal account of my journey to achieve financial freedom. If you like what you've read, feel free to subscribe via (feed reader) or (email) to follow along.

Great – the FTC a day late and a dollar short! Of course, I don’t know that they have not had something similar in the past. As a PF blog junkie, I was impressed to see a link on the budget page to thesimpledollar.com (which is a favorite, as are you!). They could have included some worksheets/sample budgets, but I guess they were using the KISS principle: Keep It Simple Stupid.
