I Might Need to Revise My Holiday Budget
I set my Christmas budget at $500 this year and my plan was to buy gifts for my BabyGirl, mom, brother, and adopted family. So far, I’ve spent $497.58 and I still have two more things to buy. Hmm…see what had happened was…LOL
I was out and about shopping this weekend when this weird thought occurred to me. Something said “add one other recipient to your shopping list.” And guess who? Mr. EC My tenants! Although I didn’t buy a Christmas gift for my previous tenants, this time, it just felt right. So I did. When I was in Target, I bought them a $50 gift card. I plan to mail it with the Christmas I was going to send them anyway.
Now, I have to buy my other two items. I hope to find one of them on Amazon so I can use my $20 gift code (not included in budget). And the other is a replacement gift for my mom because I need to return my first gift idea (hopefully an even exchange – or close). I don’t have anymore room for miscellaneous so I hope nothing major comes up that I didn’t expect.

SM, how did you get the $20 gift code? Care to share or is it restricted to an individual only?
Thanks.

That’s so kind of you to include your tenants in your gift giving! Pay it forward mama!
That’s so sweet that you’re buying gifts for your tenants
Me green with envy.
That’s a good idea. I usually send my tenant a Christmas card but I since she’s been such a good tenant, it would be a good idea to send her a small gift as a token of my appreciation of her always been on time with the rent checks!
I would get worried about posting a gift voucher or money through the post here in the UK as at Christmas they use temporary staff and I have already had two envelopes reach me that have been opened. Sad to say even at Christmas some people just can’t help themselves.
Happy Christmas
