The Best $25 I’ve Spent in a Long Time

I found a cleaning lady who will clean my entire apartment, first time trial, for $25.  If I like her services, all subsequent visits will only be $60.  This includes cleaning EVERYTHING - both bedrooms and bathrooms, family/dining room combo, AND the kitchen.  Dishes, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, AND dusting.  She and her crew are here right now and cleaning away.

Wooo Weeeee!!

I can’t understand a dang thing she’s saying, so I asked her to point. LOL!  Then I asked her to write down the price just to be sure - and it worked.  We communicate very well!  LOL  And the best thing about her, from what I can tell so far, ALL of her products are earth friendly!  Wow, just wow!  The best $25 I’ve spent in a long time!

I’m so mad about you saying you can’t understand her.. I’m laughing b/c I can picture you pointing at things and writing stuff down..

ROFLMAO!! When you’re determined, language is a barrier that can be overcome! LOL [-SM]

I’m not sure why I ever spent a whole, precious Saturday cleaning. When time is scarce, cleaning is less important than sleep. My maid even cleans under the sofa and changes the toilet paper rolls and things.

You know, this is the one topic I think we agree on 110%. LOL [-SM]

*whispers* Can you share her information please?

      Check your email. [-SM]

How did you find her? The only thing cleaning services in my town are big companies I rather give work to someone on a smaller scale.

I’ve actually been thinking about starting a cleaning business, mmm $60 dollars per house, so if I did 2 - 3 houses a day, mmm just doing the maths

I actually really like cleaning, I find it very therapeutic - I know I’m a bit strange, a woman who enjoys cleaning but hates shopping??!!

      I love your blog

      All the best

Be sure to tip them well! At $25 total, or even $60, they probably aren’t making much more than minimum wage. Good, happy workers using more expensive(?) earth friendly products won’t be around long at those rates!

I wanna get me somma that!

      NOW!

Seriously, when I finally get my finances straightened around, a cleaning person is going back into the budget–my highest priority! I cannot tell you how much I miss coming home from work on Friday to a sparkling clean home.

Love my cleaning lady - $60 every two weeks - bathrooms, bedrooms, vacuuming, dusting, floors. She gets all the basics and I spot clean in between (w/ 2 kids, husband, dog - there’s always a spot!). It forces us to pick up and de-clutter before she comes, and with us both working full-time, it’s hard to keep up with the cleaning.

BTW, $60 pays for a 4 bedroom 1.5 bath 1700 sq ft house. We provide the cleaning products, and it’s only her - no team.

The outsourcing definitely is worth it!

Can you send her down to Atlanta when you’re done? I’m willing to share! LOL!

Wow, I did not know that many people needed cleaning services :-)
That can be a great business
I happen to like cleaning (I find it therapeutic as well, Claire, so you are not alone) and laundry, but I hate cooking-always burn or not cooked enough.
so to my fellow New Yorkers - if you do cooking for me, I will do cleaning for you :-)

Rufina - theres nothing like a good dusting & vacuming session is there? Its good exercise, and it gets rid of a lot of tension/stress for free!

Yes I think there is def some money to be made through a cleaning business. I think quite a few professional people in the apartment building I live in have a cleaner. I am trying to think of ways to make money other than sitting in an office all day, I hate it - LOL!

      That’s a great price!!

I get charged a minimum of $80. It’s soooo worth it. I hate vacuuming!!
