Aloha and Welcome to Hawaii

After an eventful morning (I missed the 6:40am flight - won’t tell you who’s fault that was), a 2 hour layover in Minneapolis, and a 7.5 hour flight to Hawaii, we finally made it. Whew! Upon arrival, we were greeted by a Hawaiian guide holding a sign with our names. After welcoming us to Honolulu, fresh leis were placed around our necks. How cute! Then, we were guided towards baggage claim.

This was my first inside view of our hotel.

After dropping off our bags, I needed food and a drink. We headed to a place nearby called Giovanni’s where Mr. EC told the waiter my preferences and asked him to recommend a drink for me. I was given this drink called a Lava something and it was mmm mmm good!

After 10+ hours of travel, 2 Lava drinks, and a bit too much food, I was exhausted and ready to go to sleep. But Mr. EC insisted that we check out the beach and walk along the shoreline. Needless to say, the view on Waikiki beach is absolutely beautiful. My camera isn’t waterproof and we were near the water, so I didn’t get any pictures of the beach (yet). We didn’t stay long anyway, but we’re going back tomorrow.

Anyhoo, it’s 9:30pm (Tues) here. So that’s about 3:30am (Wed) on the east coast. Mr. EC is already asleep and I’m about to join him. More to come later…if time allows.

That sure does not look like “undefined” relationship to me :-)
Have a great time, actually have the best time
I need to find me Mr.EC as well-seems to have only frogs here in NY and no matter how much they are kissed they don’t turn into princes :-(

i think it’s called a lava flow, a pina colada and strawberry daiquiri mix? they are a favorite of my friend and she lived in hawaii for four years. she’s always looking for them in VA :) enjoy your vacation, it looks amazing!!

I’m REALLY gonna need you to step away from the ‘puter. You’re in HAWAII with a man you call Mr. Eye Candy and you’re blogging?! LOL! I’m leaving for Barbados on Sunday and I do not even want to see a computer for the entire 8 days I’m there. And believe me I’m addicted! My BB will even stay locked up in the safe. Enjoy yourself and don’t wanna hear from you until you return. LOL!

And um yea, I agree with Rufina. I ain’t nevah heard of a man taking a woman all the way to Hawaii on his dime and the relationship is “undefined.”

    6. Caryn’s right, it’s a Lava flow and it’s strawberry daquiri and pina colada mix with a delicious fresh pineapple wedge.. my wife LOVED those in Hawaii. The fruit in Hawaii is amazing and available anywhere. We stayed at some B&Bs and they had fresh fruit every single morning.

      Have a blast!

Sounds like a great time. Undefined relationship huh… I swear I hear you speaking French “we, we, we”! Hopefully the relationship gets defined over this trip.

Ok young lady: step away from the computer. I love a good SM post as much as the next person, but blogging before bed while on a Hawaii vacation with a fine man just ain’t right.

Enjoy the rest of your vacation. I will be happy to read all about it after you get back. (Here’s to hoping that there will be lots and lots that you just can’t share)lol

That looks like one of my favorite “cruise” drinks. They call it a Miami Vice though.
Looks like you all are off to a great start!
