To date I've worn purple suede knee boots (with green dress on Fat Tuesday), yellow patent cork-heeled slingbacks and black & white oxfords on a 4.5" stacked heel. Those shoes wouldn't push much of an envelope anywhere I've been because they're closed-toe. Nearly every dress code in the places I've worked have said no open-toe shoes. The only questionable thing about your shoes would be the sling-backs, because some of the places I've worked have also said no open backs, and sling-backs are close cousins. I've never understood why some women get so interested in shoes. I know that they do, but it's never made sense to me. But then, it's not like everyone has to be interested in the same things.
