I Saw $4.00 Gas Today

I’m writing this post as a memory for what is yet to come. Today was the first day I’ve seen $4.00+ gas prices in my neck of the woods.

Regular: $3.75 (same station was just $3.72 on Monday)

Plus: $3.89

Premium: $4.02

I stopped to fill up this morning and the total price exceeded $47.

My little Honda Accord. Ugh!

Yeah. I’ve seen that in DC. Fortunately just outside (on my side) even the most expensive is still under $4…for now.

It’s just a little lower here in Richmond. I still remember when I was shocked to pass the $40 fill-up mark with my Accord…I’m sure the $50 mark is only but weeks away!

I’m in Arkansas and gas here hasn’t gotten that high…..yet. It is still sitting at between $3.59—$3.74 (depending upon the city) for regular. I wish I had a Honda Accord to fill up! I have a Ford Expedition to haul around this large family I have. It takes me about $80.00 to fill up.

Here in Albuquerquere gas is $3.72. It costs me $52+ to fill up my 1994 325i (GREAT used car deals here in the southweset), and I get 20 mpg with a 10 mile commute to work.

If I didn’t have my own BG to drop off at school (she’s 5) I would SO be on the bus or riding my bike…..
