      for which one..my baby takes reg @ 3.67…My baby’s baby takes premium @ 3.85

Does premium make it go faster? With these prices, I’d put regular in EVERYTHING! [-SM]

Yeah, just came from LA-went for work, gas prices there are BAAAAAAAAAAAD.
and those guys have to drive everywhere, not like they can take subway like we in NYC or express bus or something
Get ready for Memorial day folks, gas will be $5 and up

    8. c2a, 5 May 2008, 23:13

3.98 for premium at the Costco in the Bay Area (Livermore). It actually went down in price from a few weeks ago.
In L.A. @ $3.98-$4.00 for the mid grade.

Rufina I’m in L.A. and I can and do take the bus and have taken the Metro rail. It takes a little more planning than the subway but its very doable. We regularly take the bus downtown to avoid parking fees.

I am just spoiled by NYC more or less easy commute :-)
I loved Woodland HIlls and Topanga canyon, but driving everywhere makes me cringe, I mean I walked from Hilton in Woodland Holls on Canoga avenue to Topanga mall and people in the office were like “You did wha??????????”
It was funny, I can walk in NYC all the way from Central park to Soho and I would not even think twice about the distance :-)

West L.A area. My low price sightings are 3.93 yesterday, 3.97 today. And I’ve seen it over 4 pretty regularly for a week or so.

      Boooo.

c2a: how do you do it? I’m in the Valley and I CANNOT get where I need to go by public transit nearly fast enough (three times as long to get to school by bus as by car, and don’t even get me started on getting to downtown).

I fill up for $3.86 at the Shell, but most of the other stations around it are $3.93 today.

    12. Timah, 6 May 2008, 0:24

It’s down to $3.54 here in Indiana. Of course, if you don’t leave the cornfields very often like I do you can make that tank last almost 2 weeks. I could take the bus for free, but despite the fact that it stops outside of my apartment building, it just takes way too long. This kind of goes back to the money vs time issue.

Rufina, L.A. natives and firm transplants hate to see a person walking. I’m from the Bay Area where walking and public transportation are okay.

Strange Bird, I’m in the city of L.A. but even when I lived outside the city I took the metro rail. Parking difficulties, parking fees and parking tickets make public transportation worth the extra time when going certain places.

Northern Indiana is at $3.59 as of last night. Expecting it to increase today because crude jumped again yesterday!

    15. Moneychick, 6 May 2008, 6:50

I’m in north NJ and due to the fact that I take mass transit into NYC for work and really don’t need my car (other than random errands, which I limit to 2x a week), I have no clue what the price is! However, the car’s tank is getting close to E…..uh oh.

    16. sherri, 6 May 2008, 7:28

Ruffina, people in LA don’t believe in walking. ;-) If you were in Northern Cal, not as big of a deal.

      North Carolina: 3.62

      Home(Oakland CA): 4.04

I paid $3.56 this morning here in Baltimore, MD I’ve seen it as high as $3.69. I wonder why Jersey always has the lowest gas prices???

But I’m going to need you to censor any posting with the number 4 before the decimal. My arthritis starts acting up when I see those kind of prices!

    18. BK, 6 May 2008, 9:31

Samantha needs to drive over to 198 near me LOL gas on my side of Laurel, MD is 3.56 for regular :) and the all cash spot is 3.49 or 3.51 depending on the day.

BJ’s is 3.53 in Columbia & Bowie * I wouldn’t make this trek unless I’m already there grocery shopping*

    19. Samantha, 6 May 2008, 9:41

      BK,

Girl….SHUT UP! Are you serious??? I’m on 197. I am so mad that “down the street” gas is that much cheaper…UGH!!!!!! I will be making a special trip to Tarjay and to get some gas(killing 2 birds w/ one stone….*wink* lol)

Hello! New reader here… Prices range from $3.38 – $3.79 in the Columbus, OH metro area. On my side of town the average is $3.49.

    21. Karen, 6 May 2008, 10:39

After reading all those prices, I’m not going to complain to loudly about gas here! I just paid $3.46 a gallon for mid-grade here in Utah. It took $42 to fill my tank last night. Fortunately I only have to fill up every 2 weeks.

    22. EM, 6 May 2008, 18:26

I live in the Phoenix area and I just paid $3.32 to fill up today. That’s on the lower end here, it can go up to $3.50 with the average being about $3.40.

    23. Stacey, 6 May 2008, 18:43

      $3.36 down here

    24. CT Mom, 7 May 2008, 20:50
