Oy vay, that’s awful. My coworker is the same way, and he takes Dramamine every day, twice a day, to deal with the train which is not nearly so bad as the Metro.

I can’t wait to hear what you’ve learned in your classes, I wish we had the same available here!

I’ve actually vomited at the Dupont Circle metro before because I got motion sick after starting a new birth control. It was really embarrassing. I feel your pain!

If my nausea was situational, my opinion of the metro would probably be different. I get sick because…well…just because I’m ME. [-SM]

But because I’m cheap and hate traffic, I deal with the metro for my commute. It’s free for me since my job pays for my metro cards. I can’t turn down free transportation!

If this will give you any idea how much I hate the metro, my job pays for my metro cards too. Although they pay for my parking pass as well (I have the option of either or), I’d still pay $10/day to park if they didn’t. I’d rather not be sick and be able to function at work than to save money. [-SM]

I’m glad many of you know what I go through. When people hear me say I don’t like the metro, they think I’m saying “I’m too good for the metro.” when that isn’t the case at all. When I get motion sick, ALL of my senses are magnified – especially my sense of smell. My doc said it’s because my brain is trying so hard to focus, I pick up on everything. And I mean everything! LOL

I’ve had an inner ear imbalance all of my life. Unfortunately, it has gotten worse with age.

I feel for you !! I had vertigo twice. First time I thought I was dying. Never heard of anything that would make you feel as if you were super drunk/hangover and the world would just not stop spinning. 2nd time i went to the hospital with my own diagnosis. Both times they gave me antivert. Hope all went well today !!

Oh, I’m sorry. I actually like the Metro, in comparison to say, the NYC subway…no offense to those who love it.

But motion sickness is no fun. I get it when I try to read while riding in a car or on a train. At least today is the last day. Be well.
