I Blame the Weather

Spring has sprung and I think something bit me! When I went shopping last weekend, I chose turquoise and orange as my colors of the season and I was content with my selections. That is…until I read about Kasmira’s yellow pumps on her fashion blog, titled What I Wore Today.

Ya see, I’ve never been one to wear bold colors, but I’m inspired by Kasmira’s edginess. Who knew yellow pumps could be worn in so many different ways? Then all of a sudden, I got this ridiculous idea that I should stretch my conservative comfort zone with a fresh new pair of yellow pumps. All my very own. So I added these babies to my fabulous shoe family…

A pair of yellow patent peep toe pumps – yet another Anne Klein design. I seem to be drawn to her designs. These babies are from DSW, on clearance for $59 with an additional 40% off. Total price with tax, ~$37. Cute, affordable, and super comfy.

BabyGirl asked me “now ma, what in the world are YOU going to wear with some yellow shoes?” And I gave her my standard response when I don’t have a real answer.

“Why you minding grownfolkbidness?” LOL! ;-)

Then she said “this new weather is making you weird!” And stormed off.

HA HA HA

LOVE them! LOVE LOVE Them! So chic! And you can wear yellow with lots of stuff – neutrals, yellows – just for a jolt of color where you need it.

I’m such a neutral gal, mostly black and mainly because I don’t want to worry about matching. The only non-neutral shoes I own are red but you totally inspired me! Thanks for the link to What I wore Today! She pulls off those colors and combos with such confidence. I think that’s the key – Confidence. (P.S.: Weather is making me weird too, like abnormally optimistic)

Am right there with Bridget. I wear neutrals because I don’t want to worry about matching. Plus I don’t know what colors go with what colors. I am going to buy a pair of red pumps to start.

Those are BAD!!! Ohhhhhhhhhhhh I definitely think yellow is going to be one of “the colors” of the Spring/Summer!

These are a very wearable yellow. They are not neon yellow and I could definitely see them going with quite a few outfits. If I wore high heels and open-toed shoes (don’t ask – lol) they would be on my list.

If only I wasn’t blessed with wide feet. I get more and more jealous everytime I see a new addition to your collection!

Hoorah! Congratulations on your yellow shoes. I think you’ll find them very versatile. I’m still on the prowl for an orange pair. I found two styles I liked this weekend (both under $20) but they didn’t have my size. :(

I’ll keep watching you for inspiration. ;-) [-SM]

Hi SM – those shoes are fabulous. As Stacey London would say, they can be your “pop of color” for a neutral outfit. Think charcoal pants, neutral sweater, and these shoes – gorgeous!

I ran out to my DSW yesterday ( I live in Ohio) and they only had them in Brown. :( Damn the luck!!!

      Aww, I’m sorry.

      *thinking*
