Note to Self: Next Saturday, Stay Home
You spend way too much money on Saturdays. Today’s damage? $750.65.
- $26.93: Beauty Supply Store (2 relaxers, neutralizing shampoo, regular shampoo/conditioner, daily hair/scalp moisturizer, and oil sheen)
- $89.83: Groceries (Trader Joe’s and Giant – more on this later)
- $5.25: Subway (foot long turkey & swiss)
- $40.68: Gas (full tank)
- $587.96: Tires (Goodyear Triple Tred)
I’m sure you probably think all of these things are necessities, but who needs food and tires and gas and clean hair? To be honest, I am extremely disappointed. No matter how much you spend, I getz no satisfaction when you don’t buy anything cute. Matter of fact, if you’re gonna spend over $700, the least you could do is buy a fabulous pair of shoes. What’s an extra 50 bucks? If that’s too much to ask, then just stay ya azz home next time. Geez!
Signed,
Your Deprived Shopping Alter Ego
P.S. I hate to be the one who tells you this because I know it’ll delay my satisfaction even longer, but your rent is going up by $36 – only if you sign another 12 month lease. +$319 for six months or +$622 if you prefer month to month. Don’t feel bad, I didn’t realize we’d been here almost a year either. Oh yea, and you have to pay another $200 amenity fee. You know, those amenities you never use. So how does that make you feel? You mad yet? See, I told you to buy a pair of shoes today! Bet ya listen to me next time. LOL
That is all.

Fabulous Financials » My Tire Buying Experience - Part I (Pingback), 25 February 2008, 15:15
[...] on this blog, I’ve been thinking about buying new tires for the past month or so and I finally purchased a set this past weekend. Ed Note: Disregard the price mentioned because so much has changed since [...]

Fabulous-
Think about this if you got a pair of shoes or a bag, you would feel even worse because at the end of the day you would’ve spent more than $800..And also I’m sure those hair products must have given you more satisfaction than tires :)
Chicky Finance
Are you like me and totally BAFFLED how you could go out to run some errands and come home realizing you spent HUNDREDS on absolutely nothing?
I mean, if I come home with some banging shoes, clothes and a fab meal in my belly and spent all the money, I would understand — but gas, groceries and whatnots? What?
And BTW, those groceries are only going to get more expensive. Oh yeah, and gas prices are getting higher too. They’ll be $4/gallon by summer. Yeah. I’m real excited about that.
Just think of the tires as shoes… for your car. :) I love your letter to yourself – hilarious! My dream shoe would probably be Christian Louboutins – the red sole gets me every. time.
:-)
I love reading your posts woman.
Your all good.
You did well especially since you had to buy new tires. I hate it when that happens…LOL…but anyway, it is time to buy some new shoes – I definitely need some. Also, props to you in how you are bringing up Baby Girl! I have a 5 year old so you are definitely helping me out. Thanks oh Fabulous One!!!
Sounds like a fun day though :-)
Tires are sooo expensive, I just got mine in November, it nearly drained my car repair/maintenance fund…
