Hi Single Ma! Thanks for the link.
If you make more than $3,000 a year, but less than $174,000 you’ll get a rebate.
If you make between $150,000-174,000 you’ll get a rebate but the amount will be less than others.
Plus $300 extra for Babygirl!
It’s kind of confusing, and they keep changing the details so I have trouble keeping up.
I knew the numbers, but it isn’t clear if that 3k-174k will be based on salary, AGI, MAGI, etc?
And based on what tax year? 2006, 2007, etc?
I’m skirting on the edge so what they use will determine if I’ll be getting one.
If my credit card isn’t paid off by then, I know what that “refund” will be going toward!
I don’t understand they want to boost the economy. Why wait til June. Pass the dang thing and send the money out NOW !!!! JUNE…still leaves some people with 5 months to struggle…WTH???

Oh-I think I read AGI, but at this point, who knows.
I’m going to assume it’s 2006 tax year info, since not everyone files by April 15th so it would be hard for the Govt to go by 2007 returns and still get everyone their checks in time. But that’s just my best guess. Once the Senate passes this, and I know they are working to get it passed super quick, *hopefully* they’ll release the official guidelines they are going to use.
I agree with Lisa. I think they need to get the checks to people before June. If they wait that long it won’t be until 3rd or 4th quarter that the results will start showing up in the economy. And who knows what will happen between now and June!
