An Oldie But Goodie at Work It, Mom!
As of yesterday, I am officially a freelance writer for a site that represents my interest. Remember my signature article, 5 Secrets to Fabulous Financials? Let me tell you about this site because I absolutely love it. The owner is tres’ fab, the site is aesthetically pleasing and user friendly, and the community is very supportive. I love the fact that you can join interest groups (ex: I joined Money Moms, DC Metro Moms, and Fashion & Beauty Moms just to name a few), you can personalize your profile (check me out), write notes about your day, share your parenting or work related concerns in discussion groups, answer questions to win prizes, and much more. The best thing of all, it’s FREE!!
If you’re looking for a site with a bunch of ‘woe is me’ single moms who want someone to rescue them and fix their problems, this is NOT the site for you. What you WILL find are women – single AND married – executives, entrepreneurs, writers, artists, engineers, etc. who are professionals by day and moms 24/7. Women who have knowledge to share, but need support and encouragement when life is less than perfect. The site’s image, vision, and concept are exactly what I’ve been looking for in an online community. I just wish I was smart enough to think of it myself. BUT…I am honored they have asked me to write for them. I highly encourage all fabulous working moms to check out Work It, Mom! I love it and I’m sure you will too!
