Suze Orman or Single Ma?

Justin McHenry from Zen Personal Finance asked his readers, Where do you get your Financial News? He listed several reputable sources that he reads regularly, then ended his article with this:

If I only had one personal finance blog to read it would have to be Single Ma. First off, she’s hilarious. Second, I get to check out the world from a perspective different from the middle-aged white man that I am. I don’t really learn about money, from Single Ma, but I learn a little more about life. And she’s a breath of fresh air when compared to the often numbing preaching to the choir posts of other bloggers (myself included). Maybe Yahoo could switch out Suze Orman with Single Ma. That would be awesome.

HA HA that’s an excellent idea! I’ll write for Yahoo Finance if they pay me 90% of what they’re paying Suze Orman. A 10% discount, I’m a bargain! LOL!

Seriously, I tracked the link back through Technorati and thought it was a nice gesture. Just wanted to say thank you. :-)

you are such a blessing to everyone. I dont comment as much but I read DAILY and dig through the archives as well. I am glad that you find time to keep this thing going. Plenty of times I think of something and wonder what you would think or do. And I often relate to your beginnings and stay motivated cause of where u are now.

      Thank you!

Glad you saw it. Always look forward to reading your posts. Only quibble: it’s Justin McHenry, not Henry. I won’t hold it against you, though :)

@ anon 4:25pm – If being GHETTO fabulous means:

      1. earning a SIX figure salary

      2. having MULTIPLE streams of income

      3. OWNING a home/investment property

      4. having THREE credit scores OVER 700

      5. being DEBT FREE

      6. having THOUSANDS in the bank

      7. having THOUSANDS in retirement and investment accounts

      8. and a NET WORTH in the SIX FIGURES

…then the shoe fits and I will wear it with pride, my dear.

But any sane person would know that doesn’t fit the criteria of GHETTO fabulous, so I think it’s reasonable to assume YOU are the only “delusional” one. Note the correct spelling by the way. And please continue to visit my blog. You might learn something. :-)

Single Ma keep doing you. Let your haters be your motivators.
