I think I have great taste, so I end up buying people things that I'd want for myself. I get so torn about giving the gifts that sometimes I keep them, or buy an extra one. Often, it tends to be the brightly colored stuff that ends up on sale there; I guess most people prefer black or navy to red or bright turquoise. I think the worst experience of my life was my cheap, huge suitcase splitting open on the Hong Kong baggage claim. Believe me, you do not need that.<br/><br/>Just go to TJMaxx and get one larger, more expensive suitcase to check. They sometimes have really, really nice ones, and they always have last year's department store ones for less than $200. You can use that cheap stuff for the smaller bags or for less intensive travel. :) I guess you don’t do much traveling, but if you plan on doing some in the future, do NOT cheap out on your big luggage pieces.
