Mouth Watering Delish

I live for this time of year! A big, boo-ti-ful, juicy, dark red, extra sweet watermelon for only $2.99 at Giant. And I bought TWO! BabyGirl sliced one up today and it filled 3 LARGE mixing bowls to the rim. What a wonderful way to be greeted after a long day of work. Aaaaaahhhh…

I’m sorry but Single Ma doesn’t share her melons. However, I do have other juicy things I’d like to share with you:

  • Most of us think we never have enough money – always on the grind, complaining about being broke or crafting the next money making move. But have you ever stopped to just appreciate the money you have?
  • Well I’ll be daggone! Did you know people in Denmark get to sleep in and go to work whenever they want? They say it makes them more productive. I think we should start a movement like that in the US.
  • It feels good when you reach a milestone in your 401k savings. Always celebrate your major financial accomplishments. It does wonders for your continued motivation.
  • Do you have a burning question you’d like to have answered by a financial professional? Post your question in the comments section of this post. On Sunday, Tricia will email it to the authors of “On My Own Two Feet – A Modern’s Girl Guide to Personal Finance” and they will answer select questions on her blog.
  • Tomorrow is June 1st. Wow! 2007 is almost half over. When I blogged about my goals for the year, never in a million years did I expect to have a new job, move to a new state, and become a real estate investor in less than six months. Wow, wow, and wow! He never ceases to amaze me. I guess I need to step up and dream BIGGER for ‘08.
  • And last but not least. Please forgive Single Ma for her ignorance, but umm…can someone please explain to me why Blogger’s word verification has a handicap symbol next to it? Seriously.

Now where was I? Oh yea, back to my watermelon. *thinking* This thing g’on have me pissin all night. LOL!

Be good people! Enjoy your weekend!

*2 fingaz*

Peace & Blessings

      Re: watermelon —> Yummy!
Love the post re: appreciate the money you have. I’m a firm believer that if you don’t appreciate what you have, you don’t gets no mo’. Yeah, I heard about the Denmark thingy a while back, heck when I was working I was pushing for siestas like Mexico. Hmmm…I’m sure I hit a glitch in my $$ goals for this year but all things considered, I’m in good shape. Great links Chica!

      Enjoy your weekend!!

Absolutely love watermelon. I picked a big one up here for a song and brought it to our Memorial Day BBQ. My hubby kept referring to my craziness “no one will eat all that”, yet I came home with an empty cooler. So there!

$2.99? For the whole watermelon?? Wow, I would pay $2.99 a pound here. And it would not be very good watermelon either! It just doesn’t pay to live near the Arctic circle.

Hello, I love the positive and inspirational messages in your blog. It’s great to read about someone who is struggling and then succeeding with their financial goals. It has helped me to try to make sense of my own financial situation. It’s a one day at a time process for me. I have a long way to go but your blog helps inspire me.
The wheelchair symbol next to the word verification is for people who are color blind or otherwise visually impaired. I believe that audio is enabled so that they can hear the code instead of depending on seeing it.
      Have a great weekend.

Why thank you for the link and I will refrain from making any dirty jokes about “sharing one’s melons!”
